Obituary of April Jeannine Bullard

April Jeannine Bullard, 58, of 4309 Fay Road, Syracuse, died Saturday, March 27, 2021 after a short illness. She was born on April 28, 1962, the daughter of Earl D. and Carol J. Bullard (Matty). Not long after graduation from Henninger High School, she moved to a group home to start her adult life and throughout the years participated in several Day Hab Programs operated by ARC of Onondaga. Her family at Fay Road consisted of four other ladies and an amazing staff of caregivers. Over the years she has made many friends within ARC and always enjoyed going to dances, listening to music, shopping, decorating her home for holidays, and going on trips. Her favorite vacation of all was going to Disney World with her family and eventually with the help of Tulip Travel. She even went on the Disney Cruise with her friends. April was predeceased by her father Earl in 2011, and her sister Lisa Mae, who passed away on March 27th, the same date as April, in 1993. She is survived by her mother Carol; a sister Patricia Anne Latray; nieces: Gavrielle and Alexandra; grand nieces: Kylie and Enzley; grand nephew Braydon; uncle Robert (Nancy) Matty and several cousins. Calling hours will be held at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home, Inc. 3111 James Street from 4:00 to 7:00pm on Friday. Burial will be private with family at the Woodlawn Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers consider a contribution to ARC of Onondaga, 600 South Wilbur Avenue., Syracuse, NY 13204, who cared for her for 32 years.
