Obituary of John B. Cantalupe

John B. Cantalupe, 90, of Syracuse, died on Friday at Francis House. John served in the US Army from 1951-54. He retired at age 88 as a driver supervisor from Able Medical Transport and had formerly worked for 24 years at Ward Baking Company. He is a member of the VFW and used to enjoy his time at his camp.
He is pre-deceased by his son John P. Cantalupe, parents Peter and Angelina Cantalupe and sister Ann Brisky.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Lee Mitsoff Cantalupe; son Peter (Andrea); 2 grandchildren: Christopher Cantalupe and Amanda Davis; sisters-in-law: Donna (Michael) Coy, Judy (Louis) Torres; 3 great grandchildren; a niece and nephew.
The funeral mass will be held Thursday at 10am in Blessed Sacrament Church with burial in Assumption Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Francis House, Hospice of CNY or Golisano Children’s Hospital.
