Obituary of George Baldwin

George William Baldwin, 62, was born in Canastota, NY. He was promoted to Glory on March 3, 2021 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. George attended Oneida High School where he graduated with a certificate of Architectural Drafting in 1978. George was a quiet man who enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved fishing, the NY Yankees, gardening and spending time with family. He is known for his amazing work ethic. He worked as a technician for over 26 years at Oneida Molded Plastics. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Margaret Baldwin, two brothers, Archie and Edward, three sisters, Beverly, Catherine and Elizabeth as well as his life-partner, Karen Boyce. His surviving siblings are Charles W. Baldwin, Maryanne (Glenn) Hunt, Dorothy (Anthony “Tony”) Marciano, Ella (James) Boice and Robert (Donna) Baldwin. Also surviving are his children, Robert (Melanie) Britton, James Boyce and his daughter-in-law Janette Boyce along with five grandchildren, Katherine (Anthony) Boyce, Emily Boyce, Joe (Mandy) Britton, Ashley (Josh) Walker and Robby Britton as well as 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. George has spent the last two years enjoying life with his girlfriend, Laurie Mann. He will be missed by all. Calling hours will be at Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home, 3111 James Street, Syracuse on Saturday, March 6, 2021 from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM with his funeral service starting at 2:00 PM.
