Rita Masucci Sheehan, 91, of East Syracuse, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Onondaga Center. She was born on June 29, 1929 to John and Lucille Masucci. After high school, Rita worked as a secretary at Crouse Hinds, Bristol Labs and Franklin School where she served as secretary to the principal. Her greatest joys were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Everyone looked forward to Sunday breakfast after mass and her holiday feasts. Rita spent her retirement volunteering at the St. Matthew’s 2nd Time Around Store and traveling with her beloved husband Alfred D. Sheehan Sr. who predeceased her in 2011. She is survived by her 3 sons; Ken (Lynn) Sheehan, A. Dennis Jr. (Nora) Sheehan, and Michael (Chantal) Sheehan; 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 10:30 am at Blessed Sacrament Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rita’s name can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or St. Jude’s Children’s Research.
