Marie A. Tassone, 73, of Syracuse, died on Tuesday, November 24 at Crouse Hospital. She formerly worked as the bookkeeper in the Blessed Sacrament Rectory. She was an active volunteer at the church, the Italian Festival and donated to many local charities. She was an active fan of the NY Yankees and loved scrapbooking.
She was pre-deceased by her sisters: Theresa Sofia and Roseanne Gardner.
She is survived by her son Robert (Samantha) Tassone Jr. of Pittsford, NY; brothers: Fred Caccamo of Syracuse, Joe Caccamo of Virginia, Tom Caccamo of Syracuse; grandson Nicholas Tassone and several nieces and nephews.
A private funeral mass was held in Blessed Sacrament Church. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Blessed Sacrament Church, 3127 James Street, Syracuse 13206.
