Mary Burgwin, 89, went home to her Lord on Tuesday at home by her family in Syracuse. Mary had a passion for antiques and was the owner of Antique Galleries of CNY. She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, and playing cards with the club girls for over 50 years. She was pre-deceased by her husband Lewis and brothers Dominick and John Scipione. She is survived by her daughters: Sandra (Peter) Laun of Syracuse, Michele (Ralph) Conte of Manlius; sister Frances D’Eredita of Syracuse; granddaughters: Jennifer Laun and Natalie Conte and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are Saturday at 8:30 at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson and at 9am in Blessed Sacrament Church with burial to follow in Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday 4-7pm at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson FH, 3111 James St. A special thank you to nephew Armond Scipione for always being there for his Aunt Mary. The family also wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at ST. Joseph’s Hospital, floor 2-4, the aides at the Jewish Home, and Hospice of CNY. Contributions may be made to Hospice of CNY, 990 Seventh North Street, Liverpool 13088.
