Obituary of Bradford A. Sears

Bradford “Brad” Sears, 77, a long-time resident of Fayetteville, passed away following a brief illness. He was born in Syracuse, the son of the late Bradford G. Sears and Ruth E. Sears. Brad was a graduate of Fayetteville Manlius High School and Syracuse University, then proudly spent his professional life first with Smith Corona and then Penn Traffic from which he retired in 2010. Brad also spent many years playing in and leading the Fayetteville-Manlius Men’s Softball League. He is survived by the children he loved dearly; Mindy (Sears) Flanigan of Richmond, VA and Ryan B. Sears of Fayetteville; treasured only grandchild, Maddi Flanigan; son-in-law, Robert Flanigan; brother, Brian Sears; sister, Patricia Bradley; great-Aunt Norma Cappon, along with many nieces and nephews. A private memorial service will be held by his family at a later date.
