George A Bushnell, 97,of Eastwood died peacefully at home September 22, 2019.  He was a Marine in the Air Corps Division of which he was incredibly proud.  He spent his career as a tool and die maker.  In addition, he acquired the Eastwood Distributorship for the Post Standard where he received great joy working with "MY KIDS!"  He was a member of Liverpool Rod and Reel Club and the Calvary Club, and supported the SPCA and Anglers Club.  He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, boating and cooking for friends. He was a genuine man who loved to laugh and talk about current events and past experiences. George avidly read the New York Daily News and looked forward to the Sunday comics, often cutting things out and sharing with friends.  George was always a gentleman and his hospitality and kindness was heartwarming.  He was predeceased by his wife Jessie A Bushnell in 1983.  He is survived by his nieces June (Tolhurst) Bisnett and Betty (Tolhurst) Babilon and many friends who loved him like family "George was one of a kind and a true gentleman". Services will be held Monday, September 30 at 11:00am at his grave site in Woodlawn Cemetery.
