Ann Kaptan-Hearn, 60, of East Syracuse, died on Monday, September 9, 2109 at St. Joseph’s Hospital.  She was formerly employed for 15 years as a LPN at Crouse Hospital.  Ann was a 1977 graduate of Fayetteville Manlius HS.   She had volunteered at Camp Good Days & Special Times, was a former Cub Master for the East Syracuse Boy Scouts, served on the ESM Little League Board and was a band booster for the ESM Marching Band.
She was predeceased by her husband Michael, father John Kaptan and granddaughter Alysia Ann Marie Kaptan Vanluven.
Ann is survived by her son Michael Hearn II; daughters: Rebecca Vanluven, Gabriel Hearn, Gia; brothers John & Mark Kaptan; sisters: Katherine Mapstone, Jacklyn DeRycke; her mother Gabriel Kaptan; childhood friend Rosa Tejera; grandchildren: Jen, Shawn, Victoria, Kaleigh, Alexzandra, Sadie; 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday at 9am in St. Matthew’s Church with burial to follow in Pompey Center Cemetery.  Calling hours are Thursday from 4-7pm at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home, 3111 James Street.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family.
