Obituary of Richard W. Scanlon

Richard W. Scanlon, of Liverpool, died on Monday at his home.  He was a proud graduate of St. Vincent dePaul High School, Class of 1969.  Rich enjoyed his summers on the St. Lawrence River and golfing with his family and buddies.  He was beloved by all who knew him.
He was pre-deceased by his parents James and Lucy Galuppi Scanlon and brothers: John and Michael.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years: Linda C. (Martin) Scanlon; daughters: Meghan (Tony) Martoccia, Erin (Tom) Wallace; sister: Pat (Paul) Delaney; his mother-in-law Anne Martin; grandchildren: John & Leah Martoccia, Lucy & Tommy Wallace; several nieces, nephews & cousins; his loyal pet Butchie; and many life long friends.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday at 9:30am in St. Vincent dePaul Church with burial to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.  Calling hours will be Thursday from 4-7pm in the church.
