Obituary of Dorothy Marion Strutz

Dorothy M. (Rood) Strutz, 83, of Liverpool, died peacefully at her home on Thursday.  She had retired after 30 years from General Electric.  She was the oldest of 15 children.  She enjoyed golfing, gardening and watching SU sports.
Dorothy was pre-deceased by her husband Lawrence; parents Leon and Doris Rood and several siblings.
She is survived by her daughter Karen (Shawn) Satterlee of Liverpool; grandchildren: Nicole & Ryan Satterlee; brother Richard; sisters: Linda, Rosemary, Nancy, Joellen, Susan; several nieces & nephews and her dog Sam.
Dorothy’s family would like to express a special Thank You to her caregiver, Bonnie.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 19 at 2pm in the chapel at the Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the SPCA.
