Donald J. Roy, 86, of Liverpool, died on Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Hospital.  He was a US Navy Veteran.  Mr. Roy retired in 1992 after more than 40 years from GE.  He enjoyed bowling, swimming and attending his grandchildren’s events.  He was an avid SU & NY Yankees fan and was a member of the American Legion in Cicero.
He was pre-deceased by his first wife, Loa June (Bowles) Roy; 1 brother and 4 sisters.
Donald is survived by his wife of 36 years: Susan (Crimmins) Roy; daughters from his first marriage: Lori Roy, Kathy Roy, Beverly Roy, Kelly Roy, Stacey Temple, Kimberly (Todd) Haas, Carrie (Tarn) Roy: step-daughter Julie (Steven) Batovsky; grandchildren: Nichole Temple, Seth Roy, Erica Nielson, Zachary Roy, Kaitlynn Young, Jacob Roy, Candra Temple, Samuel Haas, Gabriel Roy, Thomas Batovsky; 6 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Monday at 11am at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home with burial to follow in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay.  Friends may greet the family from 9 to 11am before the service at the funeral home, 3111 James Street.
