The world lost one of the best. I was so lucky to have him in my life because of the love he had for my sister, his daughter-in-law, JoAnn Allen. With the love he had for her, I was able to enjoy all the holidays, birthdays and the family dinners JoAnn had every Sunday with this wonderfully humble man for over 40 years. My boys grew up knowing him as "Grandpa Allen". He was always up for the parties and even would be the first at singing a song up to camp. He has made such a difference in many lives while he was here. God Bless you, Grandpa Allen for all you have shared with us. You have made a permanent mark on our hearts. We love you, Vicky, Kyle & Cody.

I am grateful to have known Rollie. He was very wise and kind, and served the Lord in so many ways with his time and talents. I am sure God greeted Him in Heaven with "Well done, good and faithful servant!" Praying for God's blessings and comfort for the Allen family.

Regards from Rollie’s friends at Pitcher Hill Community Church in North Syracuse. Rollie was a dear friend who supported our ministries as we supported his. There were many times over the years when our churches’ Men’s Bible Study groups would get together for a combined meeting and Rollie as a “Senior Member” would have much to share and stories to tell. I also worked with Rollie for many years as another Elder delegate to Montgomery Classis. We shared many rides together over the years to our 13 churches across Upstate NY. Rollie’s place at the feet of his Lord and Savior in assured. Rest in peace, good and faithful friend.

I knew Rollie through classis work in the Reformed Church. He was one of the "old timers" who served with energy, diligence and grace. I always enjoyed his smile and warmth. On behalf of the folks at the Mohawk Reformed Church, our prayers are with you.

Peter, Sherry, Brenda and family,
I am so saddened to hear of the loss of Rollie. Aquainted through the dental office, he also became a mentor and friend sharing our stories of jewelry making and gems. He was truly a great man that we all loved here at Smiles by Design. Our prayers are with all of the family...............Nancy

Dear Family,
My deepest sympathies reach out to you. I remember with fond memories the joy and fun I had as a child being neighbors to you all. You took me into your home and treated me like one of your own. My heart breaks with the passing of your Dad, as he was like a dad to me as well. Know that you are all in my prayers as you adjust to the passing of this wonderful man. May he Rest In Peace with our Lord and Savior.

I first met Rollie and Peter through Drama Club in high school. He was the Dad, that was there, monitoring the nonsense around us in the early 70's. Later when joining RCS, I found my self embraced by Rollie. He always remembered to ask about something and share a smile. I was the cook while he tutored. Such a blessing to walk beside and share our Saviors gifts with a very special man. He will be celebrated with memories, everyday.

I can actually remember exactly the last time I spoke with Rollie. It was at church a couple of Sundays ago. After my heart attack last summer, Rollie sent me a get well card and he signed it "love, Rollie" which I thought was so sweet. So when I saw him a couple of weeks ago, he asked how I was doing. I said I was doing well, and he said, "you know, I still pray for you every day". I was so touched by that. I am glad that I spoke with him that day. I will miss him, he was a very nice man.
