Walter F. Williams, 72, of Syracuse, died on Saturday at St. Joseph’s Hospital.  He was the owner and operator for the past 25+ years of Galster Auto and Truck Repair.  He was predeceased by his wife Terry in 1999 and sister Dorothy Boyle in 1998.
Mr. Williams is survived by his children: Michele (Frank Caiello) Wright of Syracuse, Todd Williams of Tampa, Barbara Stivenson of Syracuse, Thomas (Tina) Williams of Liverpool, John (Patricia) Williams of Camillus; sister Carol (James) Galvin of Tully; grandchildren: Ashley, Justin, Trey, Ally-Reese, Trevor Williams; and his grand pup Sadie.
The family would like to thank Richard Boyle for his hard work and loyalty to Walter and the business through the years.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11am at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home with burial to follow in White Chapel Cemetery.  Friends may greet the family from 10-11am before the service at the funeral home, 3111 James Street.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wilmot Cancer Center, 601 Elmwood Avenue, #704, Rochester 14642 or the SPCA, 5878 E. Molloy Rd., Syracuse 13211.
