Michael J. Garback, 63, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Thursday surrounded by his family at home.  He served in the US Coast Guard for 4 years and was a 37 year employee of the Department of Defense.  Michael enjoyed fishing and SU Basketball.
He was predeceased by his parents Michael and Anna Garback and brother Eugene Garback.
He is survived by his wife Leslie (nee Sembrat); children: Michael (Jennifer) Garback, Katie Garback, Nicholas Garback, Gregory Garback; sister Mary (Ralph) Marzullo; brother Robert (Linda) Garback; sister in law Kathy Garback; grandchildren Harper & Kelcie Garback and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, December 27 from 4-6:30pm at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home with a memorial service held at 6:30pm.
