Obituary of Florence Heffron

Florence Heffron, 92, of Syracuse, passed away on Saturday at Iroquois Nursing Home.  She had formerly worked at Camillus Cutlery and Burnet Radio.  Florence loved gardening, and visiting with her family who appreciated her good cooking.  She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church in Eastwood. Florence was predeceased by her husband John “Jack” Heffron in 2015, brother Frank Bartella, sisters: Lena Bartella, Mary DeLorenzo; and brothers-in-law: Leo DeLorenzo, Kenneth House.
She is survived by her daughter Marie Heffron of Chittenango; son Gregory John (Lijuan) Heffron of Newton, MA; grandson Kevin John Heffron also of Newton, MA; brother William (Nancy) Bartella; sister Elizabeth House; and several nieces and nephews who fondly knew her as Aunt Flowie.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at Blessed Sacrament Church in Eastwood at 10:30 with entombment to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Friends may greet the family from 9-10am on Thursday at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent to Francis House.
