Richard A. Fults, 68, of East Syracuse, passed away Thursday, June 1st at Crouse Hospital with his family by his side.
He is pre-deceased by his parents Earl and Alice Fults, a nephew Stephen Powers and two cousins Betty Slank and Donna Barone.
Rick was a member of the New York State National Guard, a graduate of the State University of New York at Geneseo, and a member of the Collamer United Church.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Rhonda Carrigan Fults; daughter Kimberly Fults; son Michael (Shannon) Fults; brother Gary (Annette) Fults of Sierra Vista, AZ; brother-in-law Jerrold (Carol) Carrigan of Wilson, NC; 2 grandsons: Michael Jr. and Colin Fults; 2 cousins: Nancy (Gary) Clasen and Sandra Hayes; a nephew Scott Powers of Colorado; and his beloved dogs Ginger and Ellie.
Rick was a successful bank executive starting at Merchants Bank, through a few take overs, retiring from M & T Bank after 45 years.
Rick expressed his honor of working with some of the greatest colleagues and business relationships forming great friendships he cherished, in the banking world.
A special thank you to the wonderful doctors and nurses of the 4th Floor South of Crouse for the outstanding care and compassion given to Rick and his family.  Rick expressed his love and appreciation to all of them.  “Take me to Crouse” was his constant statement.
By request of his family, services will be private at Woodlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
