Miralda A. “Myra” Kozol, 89, of Syracuse, died peacefully at Francis House on Saturday with her devoted granddaughter, Janice, holding her. Myra had worked for many years as a cosmetics buyer with the Addis Company and more recently worked as a real estate broker with Kirnan Real Estate. She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church, a member of the Altar & Rosary Society and volunteer with the Outreach Program. She was also an active member of the McChesney Senior Center. Her life was devoted to her children and grandchildren. Her husband George died in 1999. She is survived by her sons: George (Cheryl) of Binghamton, Dr. Robert (Jill) of Lake Worth, FL, brother Robert (Connie) Schiavo of Old Forge, PA; grandchildren: Michael, Caroline, Janice, Christopher, Kirk, Greg, Robert Kozol; 4 great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 8:30 at the Welter-Price Funeral Home and at 9am in Blessed Sacrament Church. Internment will follow in Woodlawn Mausoleum. Calling hours are Friday from 4-7pm at the funeral home, 3111 James Street, Syracuse. Memorial contributions may be made to Francis House, 108 Michaels Avenue, Syracuse 13208.
