Theodore H. “Teddy” Koagel, Jr, 65, a life resident of Syracuse, died on Sunday at Francis House. Teddy retired in 2012 as the Demolition Contract Supervisor for the City of Syracuse; having served under 4 mayors. He had formerly worked as the manager for Wilson Jewelers and was a former distributor for the Herald Journal. He was a life member of the Pastimes Athletic Club and served as club president from 1984-86 and 1991-93. Teddy was an avid bowler in many leagues; and had bowled a perfect “300" game. He was predeceased by his parents Theodore and Margaret Koagel and sister-in-law Marjorie Koagel. Teddy is survived by his brother John of Syracuse and many friends. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11AM at the Frasier-Shepardson Funeral Home with burial to follow in Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-7pm at the funeral home, 1217 N. Salina Street. Memorial contributions may be made to Francis House, 108 Michaels Avenue, Syracuse 13208.
