Rose Matera September 16, 2016 Rose (Ciccia) Matera,96 years young who resided in Eastwood for many years let the angels take her hand and bring her back home to God. She passed at St .Joseph's Hospital Syracuse on Friday. Rose was the only child of Joseph and Mary Ciccia, she was born in Mammola,Italy. Rose was pre-deceased by her husbands Joseph Matera and Bernard Wafer. She is survived by her two daughters Patricia (Joseph) Tulowicki of Eastwood and Susan (Donald) Santangelo of Dewitt; grandchildren Joseph (Helene) Tulowicki of Utica and Nicole (Todd) Lynch of E. Syracuse; great grandchildren: Jenna Tulowicki, Ayden Lynch and Abrielle Lynch and many nieces and nephews. Rose was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church Syracuse. She was a member of The John Venditti Post of Syracuse. She loved her family, shopping, dressing like a movie star!, cooking and enjoyed Sunday family dinners that she hosted for many years. Visitation will be Monday from 8-9am with a service at the conclusion at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home, 3111 James Street. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Blessed Sacrament Church Outreach Program.
