Obituary of Mollie Goodspeed

Our Beautiful Mother, Mollie Goodspeed, born April 27, 1931, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, June 5, 2016. She was born in Syracuse and was married to her loving and devoted husband Clifford for 58 years. She was a communicant of St. Ann’s Church. She retired from the Fayetteville – Manlius School District where she worked as a school bus driver for 38 years. She drove and cared for special needs and kindergarten children and became close to them and their families. Mollie is predeceased by her parents James and Marion Perkins and sister Margaret McManus. She is survived by her husband Clifford A. Goodspeed; daughter Jamie (Chuck) Watson; son Clifford (Kari) Goodspeed Jr.; grandchildren Charlie (Laura) Watson; Brian Watson; Bryan Phillips; Katey Phillips; Matthew (Ashley) Baum; 3 great grand daughters Lilly Anna, Isabella and Grace Baum and sister MaryEllen Sunser as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was very close to her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She was a very strong, caring and loving person always willing to help in anyway needed. Mollie will be forever missed but we are comforted in knowing she is with her loved ones in Heaven, looking down upon us until we meet again. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 9:30am at the Frasier-Shepardson Funeral Home and at 10:30 in St. Ann’s Church in Manlius. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4-8pm at the funeral home, 1217 N. Salina Street. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
