Christine Hennessy January 2, 2016 Christine Hennessy, 64, of Syracuse, passed away on Jan. 2, 2016 following a short illness. Christine was born on Sept. 12, 1951 to William and Doris McLean in Brooklyn, NY. Christine worked as an account executive for the Kornhausr Advertising Co. in Manhattan, NY during which time she met her husband, Richard A. Hennessy Jr. Christine then moved to Syracuse and worked with her husband in their family owned law office and helped raise her new family. Christine loved to cook, trying new recipes for friends and family. She also loved her girls in Book Club whom she talked of often. Most of all, she loved being “Grammy” to her grandchildren Jack, Ella, Mace and Liam. Christine is survived by step children Kristen A. Hennessy of Syracuse, NY, Richard A. Hennessy III of Syracuse, NY, Daniel M. (Lyalya) Hennessy of Columbia, MD, and John M. (Jennifer) Hennessy of Saratoga Spring, NY; mother Doris McLean of Scotch Plains, NJ; sister Maureen Gannon of Scotch Plains, NJ; brother Lee (Suzanne) McLean of Montgomery, NY; and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Richard A. Hennessy, Jr., brother Terrence McLean, and father William McLean. Services: Calling hours will be from 4-6 pm on Thursday at Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home, 3111 James St. A memorial service will be planned for late spring/early summer. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in Christine’s name.
