Dorothy Margaret Carruthers, 94, of Syracuse, died on Monday at Loretto. She retired in 1993 from the State University of New York Health Science Center after 37 years of service. She was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church.
She was pre-deceased by 2 brothers: Robert Carruthers and William Carruthers; and a sister: Jane Leggett.
She is survived by a niece: Dottie Krausnick, a grand nephew: Matthew (Melissa) Krausnick; a sister in law: Ellen Carruthers; great-grandnephews: David and Jason Krausnick and several cousins. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 10AM in St. John the Baptist Church. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 3-6pm at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson funeral home, 3111 James Street. Friends wishing may contribute to St. John the Baptist Church.
