Obituary of Jane A. Zajac

Jane A. Zajac October 28, 2015 Jane A. Zajac, 93, of Liverpool NY, passed away October 28. Jane was born in Syracuse, N.Y. to Stanley and Anna (Mosio) Sakowski. She was predeceased by her devoted husband Henry, who was a wonderful father. Mrs. Zajac was employed at the Syracuse China Factory, and owned and operated Jane’s Beauty Salon in Syracuse for a number of years. She was a member of Transfiguration Church and the Altar and Rosary Society, and the Salina Seniors. Mrs. Zajac was an inspiration to her children and grandchildren who will remember her great kindness, determination, and sense of humor. A child of the Great Depression, she believed in personal responsibility, hard work, and the value of education. Her interests included gardening, cooking and baking, and attending Saturday afternoon Mass at Transfiguration Church. Survivors: son Richard, N. Syracuse; daughter Patricia (Robert) Panels, Virginia Beach, Va; grandchildren Brian (Lynn) Camillus, Eric Liverpool, Sandra (Brent) Teft, Austin, Tx. Jennifer (Chris) Whitley, and Dan Panels, Virginia Beach, Va; great grandchildren Brynn, Cameron, Braeden and Giuliana; brothers Frank (Helen) Sakowski, Lakeland, Walter Sakowski, Lyncourt; great friend Barb Dubiel, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 2 at 9am at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home and at 9:30 in Transfiguration Church. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours are to be held from 5-7 on Sunday at the funeral home, 3111 James St. Contributions may be made to Transfiguration Church.
