David Samuel Sampson, 55, a life long resident of Syracuse, passed away on August 3, 2026, at Westchester Medical Center.

He was beloved by his mother, Carol Sampson; his brothers, Robert and William Sampson; his children: Ryan, Sam, and Taylor Sampson; and his late wife, Lisa Sampson.

Throughout his life, David was known for his infectious enthusiasm, his unrivaled sense of humor, and his ability to see the good in everything. David worked as a high school teacher for OCM BOCES. He enjoyed going to the Adirondacks during the summers and also had a love for Walt Disney World.

A Celebration of Life will be held on August 20, 2026, at Eastwood Baptist Church. Calling hours will be from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., with a service at the conclusion of the calling hours. Condolences shepardsonfh.com.
