Roslyn B. Antonacci, 95, passed away on July 26, 2026. She was born on December 6, 1930 in Syracuse to Rosario and Anna (Kryzwda) Barone. She was a graduate of  North High School, where she met her future husband, John (Johnny) and was married for over 25 years until his early passing. Roslyn worked various jobs including L.C.Smith Typewriter Co until she began raising her family of 7 children. Later in life she went back to work in the food service department at Syracuse University. She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church, a member of the Altar and Rosary Society, The Auxiliary of the Legion of Mary and the Lincoln Cultural Association. She was a dedicated volunteer for over 20 years at St Joseph’s Hospital. She enjoyed attending her children’s and many grandchildren’s activities throughout the years. She never missed a chance to dive off a diving board at Green Lakes and Fair Haven even into her eighties. She loved card games and played with her Home Bureau gals: pinochle & ulcer rummy being her favorites. In later years she played these card games with her children as well as Scrabble and Hidden Picture Finds. She loved to cook, bake and was featured in the Herald Journal for her culinary abilities. She tirelessly gave of her time and caring for different family members and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband John in 1979. She is survived by her sons: Tony (Dianna) Antonacci of Avon Park ,FL; Jack (Carol) Antonacci of  Lakeland; daughters: Marie (Bob) Geary of Canastota; Phyllis (Earl) Davison of Clay; Rosemary Auber of Syracuse; Renie (Joe) Peach of Syracuse; Linda (the late Henry Brown) of Baldwinsville; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are on Monday, August 3 from 5:00-7:00 at Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home, 3111 James St, Syracuse. A Celebratory Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday August 4  at 10:30 at Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
