Aurora Ann "Rori" Stone Obituary

Aurora Ann “Rori” Stone, age 9, passed away peacefully and is now held in the loving embrace of family and friends in heaven. Rori was a bright, spirited, and unforgettable little girl whose personality filled every room she entered.

She was known for her love of snacks, her unmatched enthusiasm as Josh Allen’s biggest fan, and her excitement for March Madness. Rori brought joy and laughter with her famous elephant noises, her talent for sneaking the remote control, and her signature “two claps” of approval. She was a true princess at heart—especially when it came to her love of Disney princesses—and proudly held the title of Princess Sophia’s very best friend. Rori was a teacher’s pet, an animal lover, and had a special way of connecting with everyone she met. She gave the world’s best hugs and the wettest, most heartfelt smooches, leaving lasting love with all who knew her.

Rori  is survived by her loving parents: Brooke and Chris Gleason, C.J. Stone, and Catelynn White; her brothers: Zackary, Brody, and Ezra; and her sister, Cecelia. She is also survived by her grandparents, Alice and David Goodman, Fred and Carolyn Stone, Bill Lyons, and Mimi; her aunts and uncles, Cassie Carmody, Ricky and Elyse Stone, and Julie and Morris Lowery; her cousins, Ashlinn and Tommy Carmody; and her godparents, Allison Martin and Zac Russo. She was predeceased by her Grammie Gail, Auntie Ash, Grandma Honey, and Papa, who are now welcoming her with open arms.

Rori’s family would also like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to her therapists and teachers at ESM and Grimshaw, who loved and supported her so deeply.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 10, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home. A celebration of Rori’s life will take place on Saturday, April 11, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Fitz, 321 Salina Street, Syracuse.

Rori loved bright colors and sports, and her family asks that those attending wear bright colors or a Bills jersey in honor of their beautiful princess.
