Paul W. Stanton - March 6, 2026

Paul William Stanton was born on June 1, 1953, to the late Charles F. and Barbara (Trautman) Stanton in Syracuse, NY.  He attended Corcoran High School and followed his passion for building and construction engineering by earning a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Clarkson University in 1976. His choice of career mirrored both his father and grandfather.

His career in construction engineering led him to Conproco Corporation, where he focused on concrete construction. In 2009, Paul founded P. Stanton Associates, LLC, where he leveraged his decades of expertise as a consultant for Anti-Hydro International on construction projects and with concrete producers across New York State. 

Paul’s talents didn’t stop at the job site—from a young age, he had a love for music and was a talented musician.  As a teenager, he was a member of the Syracuse Marauders and the Auburn Purple Lancers Drum and Bugle Corps and as an adult he shared his love for music through mentorship on the competition field, spending his free time teaching and coaching marching band at Cicero North Syracuse High School. It was clear to everyone who knew him that Paul cared deeply about sharing his love of music with the next generation.

Family played a big part in Paul’s life. After his parents retired to Florida, he made countless trips between his home in Pennellville, NY, and North Fort Myers, FL, to visit them and to spend some time on the golf course. After his father’s passing, he especially made sure to visit his mother often. His dedication to her was a testament to his big heart. Even as his health declined, Paul rarely missed a family gathering. He also cherished time with his close-knit group of friends.

Paul is survived by his brother, Charles F. (Lorraine) Stanton III, as well as his beloved nephews, Charles F. (Kristen) Stanton IV and Scott A. (Meaghan) Stanton and their children. 

Paul passed far too soon, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the good fortune to know him. Family and friends can call on March 25th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Family Funeral Home at 3111 James St., Syracuse, NY.  A private burial will follow.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Hastings Fire Department, 1994 US Route 11, Hastings, NY 13076.
