James F. "Jamie & Jim" Wake Jr. Obituary

James “Jamie or Jim” F. Wake, Jr., 64, a lifetime resident of Eastwood, passed away unexpectedly on November 3, 2025.

Jim was a union member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local #58. He was a highly respected electrician by his co-workers. Jim was a jack of all trades, pursuing a career as an electrician and taking up hobbies such as repairing electronics and woodworking. He will be sorely missed by the Eastwood community. He had fond memories of fishing from the rowboat while spending time with his family at the cottage in the Adirondacks. 

He is pre-deceased by his father, James F. Wake, Sr. in 2020. He is survived by his mother, Joy; siblings: Catherine (Wayne) Perrigo, Margaret (William) Heffron, Mary (Carol McManus) Wake & Joe Wake; uncle, John Wake; nephews: Wayne (Ava), Keith & Travis Perrigo, Nicholas (Erin) & James (Elise) Heffron; great-nephew: Liam; great-nieces: Amelia, Francesca and Kinley; many cousins; work associates and friends.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 11th from 4-7pm at Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home, 3111 James St, in Syracuse. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 12th at the funeral home, with one hour of calling hours beginning at 10am, and the service to begin at 11am. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. 

Jim was always willing to help out others.  In his memory, donations may be made to organizations which support vocational training or groups which care for the environment.
