Sheila A. Deptula Obituary

Sheila Anne Deptula, 76, of Syracuse, passed away surrounded by loved ones on October 25, 2025.

Those most important to her would say she is the greatest mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, and friend that God could have blessed them with. She made holidays, Sunday dinners and pool time incredibly special by bringing loved ones together. The peace and joy she brought to others included many things such as her delicious homemade apple pie, roast beef dinners and her world class pizza. Above all she was a selfless living example of how Jesus would want us to treat others. She had an inseparable bond with her twin sister Sharon through every avenue of her life. Her brother David was her ultimate traveling companion. She always had her sister Therese to rely on as her confidant.

She is predeceased by parents, Charles and Sophia; brothers, Charles “Chuck”, Francis, and Gary. She is survived by her six children: Ryan, Brooke, Ashley, Jordan, Jarred, and Kelcey; the father of her children, Patrick Deptula; brother David; sisters, Sharon and Therese; grandchildren: Imani, Jayden, Giovanni, Isabella, Alessandra “Sophia”, and Lyla; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 from 5-7 pm at Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home, 3111 James Street in Syracuse.
