Michael Francis “Che” Lavelle, 72 of Syracuse, died on September 8, 2025 at Francis House.    Michael was a former cook for S.A.E. fraternity at SU for over 20 years and recently worked at PB & J’s Lunch Box in Syracuse.

He was a communicant of St. Vincent dePaul Church, chairman of the Lenten Fish Dinners and Development Director for the Parish and Alumni Associations.

Michael was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Mary Carroll Lavelle.

He is survived by his 4 brothers: Thomas (Sarah) of Scottsdale, AZ, Robert (Cindy) of Liverpool, William of Liverpool, James (Debbie) of Syracuse; several nieces, nephews and friends.

The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, September 13 at 10:30am in St. Vincent dePaul Church.  Friends may greet the family from 9:30-10:30 before the mass in the church.  Contributions may be made to Francis House.
