Dorothy Marie Keller Obituary

Dorothy “Dottie” Keller, 91, of Liverpool, NY, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2025.  A loving wife, mother, and cherished Oma who lived a full life rooted in love, faith, and service to others.

She was predeceased by her devoted husband, John W. Keller. Dottie is survived by her daughter Bonnie (Chris) Clappin and their children Chris Jr. (Rachel), Connor, Benjamin and Braeden and Kevin (Sandee) Keller; grandchildren Steve Witteman and Amanda (Aaron) Ferrara.

Dottie worked as a secretary for John Deere and later retired from Liverpool Central Schools, where her kindness and laughter left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

A lifelong learner and explorer, Dottie loved to travel and was rarely without a good book in hand. Her creativity and generosity shone through her remarkable skill in knitting, crocheting, and counted cross-stitch. Over the years, she donated thousands of handmade mittens, hats, and blankets to hospitals, refugee centers, elementary schools, and NICUs—quietly warming both bodies and hearts.

Dottie was a longtime, faithful member of the United Church of Christ in Bayberry, where she built deep friendships and served her community.

Her life was a testament to kindness, craftsmanship, and devotion to family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
