Obituary of Gary J. Marick

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gary J. Marick. Gary lost his battle with pancreatic cancer on April 15, 2025.  
He was born on July 27, 1957 in Syracuse, New York to Myra and Joseph Marick at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
He was a lifelong resident of Syracuse. Gary graduated from Henninger High School and attended Onondaga Community College. He held various jobs, but especially enjoyed working in restaurants, where he shared his love of cooking. 
Gary married the love of his life, Patricia, in June of 1985. He loved being a father to his girls, Amy and Angela. He enjoyed taking his family on special road trips. Whether it be to a picnic, a state park, amusement park, or anywhere else in New York state.  
His hobbies centered around his love for cars, cooking, collecting memorabilia, and photography.
He is predeceased by his wife, Patricia, and his parents, Myra and Joseph. 
He is survived by his daughters, Amy (Jason) Thompson and Angela (Ben) Berrios, of Syracuse. He adored his 5 grandchildren. 
Also survived by his sister, Karen (Jeff) Tuttle, of Camillus; his brother, Martin Marick, of Lakeland, Florida; several nieces, and a nephew.
Calling hours will be April 23rd from 10:30-11:30, with a service at 11:30, at Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home.
