Beloved mother Susan L. Porto, age 85, of Syracuse, NY, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 7, 2025. She was born in Syracuse to Hagaman and Loretta Phares, October 25, 1939. She was predeceased by her parents; loving husband Joseph; grandson Brian Paul Cummings; stepson James; and son-in-law Peter Howe. She is survived by one sister:  Joyce Pritchard; four children Lisa (Paul) Cummings, Jeff Phillips, Scott (Sonia) Phillips, and Amy Herholtz; three stepchildren: Joanne Howe, Richard (Jennie Lee) Porto, Joseph Porto Jr.; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren, ten step grandchildren, and fifteen step great grandchildren. There will be a memorial service on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Lyncourt Wesleyan Church, 2626 Court St. Syracuse at 1pm with a reception in the church basement following service.
