Obituary of Lorraine B. Hickox

Lorraine B. "Lorrie" Hickox, 85, of Syracuse, died on March 10, 2025, at Iroquois Nursing Home. She was born in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, Canada and her parents were Roland and Ruth Duggan Pilon. 
She had retired from Niagara Mohawk as a computer programmer and was a shop steward for
the union while she worked.  She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament and a former
member of the Folk Group. After moving to the USA in her youth, she returned to the family
cottage in Sharbot Lake, Ontario, Canada, each summer where she loved swimming, learned to
paint cottage scenes and enjoyed her beloved butter tarts.
She is pre-deceased by her parents, a brother Lawrence Pilon, and her former husband Chuck Hickox.
Lorrie is survived by her daughter Kimberly (Barry) Dillon; sons: Jeff (Georgia) and Jim; sisters:
Patricia Pilon, Diane Ferri (Rob); sister-in-law Karen Pilon-Shewchuk; grandchildren: Kyle (Emily) & Kory Hickox, Connor (Julia) & Danielle Dillon; great-granddaughters: Harper & Addison Hickox; and several nieces and nephews. 
Calling hours will Friday, March 14 from 4-6pm at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home with the funeral mass on Saturday at 9am in Blessed Sacrament Church.  Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
