Donna M. Luke passed away on Monday, September 9, 2019.
A lifelong resident of Syracuse, she graduated from Eastwood High School. She held an Insurance Brokers license and Notary Public license and spent many years in the Insurance and Accounting fields. Her most recent place of employment was The Spinning Wheel Restaurant.
Donna was predeceased by her husband Brian J. Luke. She was the youngest daughter of the late Carl A. and Irma (Piper) Hisington. Also predeceased by sisters, Annette Hanus, Betty Hisington, and nephew Steve Hanus.
Surviving are nieces Donna (Jack) Conroy of Liverpool, and Mary Hanus (John James) of Camillus. Also survived by great-nieces Karen Hanus-McManus of California, Laura Conroy of Liverpool and Meghan Conroy of California and special great-nephew Kevin McManus of California. Donna is also survived by her step-son Larry (Maggie Hanson) Luke of Seneca Falls.
Calling hour will be held on Friday, September 13, 2019 from 12 to 1 p.m. at Welter-Price Funeral Home, 3111 James Street with a funeral service at 1 p.m. In keeping with her wishes a private burial will follow at Onondaga Valley Cemetery.
