Marylouise Satterlee, 86 died peacefully with her daughters AnneMarie & Mary Beth by her side on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Francis House in Syracuse, NY. Previously she was a resident at Brookdale, Fayetteville. She resided in Syracuse and Lyncourt, NY and was predeceased by her
husband of 50 years, Robert John Satterlee.
Born in Fort Edward, NY on May 30, 1935 she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mabel (Vosburgh) Hillman. Known as Marylou to family and friends. She graduated from the College of Saint Elizabeth, NJ in 1956. Marylou was employed by Washington County, as a Case Worker. She met her husband and married in 1959 and started a family. After her 4 children were able to take care of themselves, she returned to CCBI Business School and obtained a diploma in Business. She was employed by Upstate Hospital, as a transcriptionist, in the Radiology
Department until her retirement in December, 1997. Marylouise was also a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church for over 60 years.
She is survived by daughter AnneMarie Sojewicz (Brian), son Scott Satterlee, daughter Mary Beth Silk, daughter Barbara Ferenc (Walter); grandchildren: Daniel Sojewicz, Jon Ferenc and Emily Ferenc. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by sisters Ethel Dwyer of South Glens Falls, NY, Kathryn Tingley of Barrington, Rhode Island and Barbara Jean Hillman of Queensbury, NY.
Private services were held Thursday, May 26, 2022 at Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home. Prayer service and internment was held at St. Mary's Mausoleum, Dewitt, NY.
The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to the staff at both Brookdale Fayetteville and Francis House for the loving and compassionate care extended to our dear mother, Marylouise.
