Edward J. Baclaski March 10, 2010 Edward J. Baclaski, 64, of Syracuse, passed away Wednesday at the VA Medical Center. He was born November 1, 1945, the son of the late Edward and Josephine (Kurpiewski) Baclaski. Edward was a 1964 graduate of Eastwood High School and then served 4 1/2 years in the U.S. Navy, stationed in San Diego, CA. He was a member of American Legion Post 1276. Ed was a Teamster with Local 317 for 35 years, working with several trucking companies, eventually retiring from Clark's Trucking. Ed enjoyed sailing and history. He is survived by his son, David of Syracuse; three sisters, Romayne Bubnes of Sacramento, CA, Celayne (Richard) Ferrari of Brooklyn, NY, and Frances Baclaski of Sacramento, CA; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A gathering will be held 11 a.m. Monday, March 15, at Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home, followed by his burial with military honors in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours will held Sunday, March 14, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home, 3111 James Street.
