George John St. Phillips, 91, of Syracuse, died on Tuesday at James Square. He was born in Fulton, NY to Alfred and Laura ST. Phillips on May 20, 1925. Mr. St. Phillips served in the US Navy during WW2 and graduated from Syracuse University. He retired from Crouse Hinds as a supervisor of production and inventory control. He was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church. He was pre-deceased by his wife Dorothy, a son Gerard and sisters: Grace Bogwicz and Connie Hunter. Survived by his son Gregory of Syracuse; daughters: Rebecca Shaughnessy of Liverpool, Marianne St. Phillips of Syracuse, NY; 2 grandchildren Amanda and Gabrielle Shaughnessy; brothers Anthony and Joseph; sisters: Rose Bevacqua, Mary Raneari, Carm Warner, Marie Pinch, Fifi Fenny and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday January 31at 10:30 am in the Blessed Sacrament Church. Friends may call at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home, Inc. Monday from 5 to 7:00pm. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
