Obituary of William John Zuti, Sr.

William J. Zuti Sr., 90, of East Syracuse, died Sunday, July 24th in his home. He was a US Army Veteran of WWII, and served with 297th Medical Detachment and was valedictorian of Jamesville School. He was born on August 30th, 1925 in Jamesville, the son of Frank and Mary Toth Zuti. He was married to the late Shirley Halladay Zuti. Survivors include two sons: William J. Zuti Jr. and Frederick L. Zuti (Robert) of Syracuse; two daughters: Linda J. Zuti of Baldwinsville and Sally A. Sacco (Angelo) of Syracuse; grandchildren: Chris Zuti, Amanda Ward, and Mikayla Ward. He is also survived by nieces and nephews. He was also pre deceased by sisters Mary Z. Hornyak Snider and Emma Heald, two infant brothers Frank Zuti and Joseph Zuti. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 28th at 11am at Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home. Calling hours are Wednesday, July 27th from 5-7pm at the funeral home, 3111 James Street, Syracuse 13206. Contributions can be made to Humane Association of CNY, McHarrie Life-Syracuse Home, or Michael J.Fox Parkinson research foundation.
