Obituary of Caroline A. McGuire

Caroline A. McGuire July 4, 2016 Caroline A. McGuire, 79, went out with a bang at 9pm as the fireworks were starting on July 4th, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was the eldest of 14 children born to Albert and Frances (Mott) Bleskoski on May 11, 1937. She graduated from St. John the Baptist Academy in 1954 and was then employed at Allied Chemical for six years. She and her family spent 16 years in England where she made many lasting friendships. Caroline is survived by her husband Edward P. McGuire and her son Edward P. McGuire II (Kathleen Beck), her sisters Mary Hennessy, Kathleen Veri (Ronald), Judith Cooney (Francis), Susan Judge (William) and brothers Albert Bleskoski (Arlene), Joseph (Brenda), Robert, William (Deborah), Raymond, John (Rose), and James (Carol) in addition to many nieces, nephews, Godchildren, and her grand-puppies (Tinker and Bell). Her parents and two brothers, Donald and Thomas Bleskoski, predeceased her. Caroline was a greeter/lector and Eucharistic Minister at Holy Trinity Church. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 4-7pm at Frasier-Shepardson Funeral Home, 1217 N. Salina St., Syracuse, NY 13208. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Baptist on Monday at 10AM. Entombment will take place at Our Lady of Peace Mausoleum following the mass.
