Barbara Wiskochil Gorman Mitchell, 88, died on January 15 at James Square. Mrs. Mitchell was born in Detroit, and her parents were George and Honora Wiskochil. She had graduated from Providence Hospital and was a registered nurse at several hospitals in Syracuse and Cortland. Barbara retired from the VA Hospital and was a coordinator for the Jordan-Elbridge Meals on Wheels.
She was predeceased by her parents and husband William G. Mitchell.
Survived by her sons: Michael, John, George; daughters: Mary, Honora, Ann and Jane; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Friends may greet the family on Monday from 3-4pm at the Frasier-Shepardson Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Loomis Hill Cemetery.
