Dorothy E. McDonald, 92, passed away Tuesday at James Square. She was born on April 28, 1923, the daughter of Glenn and Rose Van Patten. She was a loving and caring mother who was proud to stay at home and raise her family. Mrs. McDonald was a member of James Street United Methodist Church. She loved the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending her summers at Sandy Pond.
She was pre-deceased by her husband Frank who died in 2013
Survived by her children: Joann (Dave) Parker, Robert (Kathy) McDonald, William (Connie) McDonald and James (Peg) McDonald; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren with one more on the way in December.
Funeral services will be private at the Welter-Price Funeral Home with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.
