Syracuse and CNY NY have lost a great man yesterday - 8/28/2015 when Ronald F. Boshart of Camillus NY passed away following a lengthy illness. He was a wonderful loving Husband, Father, Grand Father, Great Grandfather, Brother, Son and Friend to all who knew him... Born to Allen and Elizabeth Boshart on January 10th 1941, he leaves behind, to cherish his memory, his wife of of almost 21 years, Ruth, His daughters Diane Boshart, of India and Melissa Quist (Peter) from Atlanta Ga... His Brother Allen of Geneseo, NY, His Sisters Doris Bower, and Patricia Goettel both of Syracuse and Barbara Birdseye (William) of Cicero. Four Step-Daughters - Cheryl Schulke, Corpus Christi, TX, Carol Zon (Lou) of Cheektowaga, NY, Cathy Hurd of Liverpool, NY, and Karen Hilliard of Kopolei, HI. Two Grandchildren Kylie and Connor Quist, 13 step-grandchildren and 19 step great grandchildren..Many nieces and nephews throughout the CNY area.. Mr. Boshart was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters Elizabeth (Betsy) Boshart and Margaret (Midge) Engler Mr. Boshart had been a Carpenter/Contractor for Lewiston Construction for many years before his retirement due to illness. Prior to that he owned and operated R.F. Boshart Construction and Remodeling. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church and Golf League, He participated in the Syracuse National's, enjoyed classic cars, and 50's and 60' music. He was an avid NASCAR fan following several different drivers... Mr. Boshart was also the First Member and Inspiration for PROJECT LIFESAVER here in Onondaga County.... Calling Hours will be at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home, Inc. On Monday from 4:00 to 7:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:00am Tuesday at Blessed Sacrament Church atJames St. Eastwood, NY. Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent to PROJECT LIFESAVER c/o Onondaga County Sherriff's office, Attn. Lt. Jon Anderson-Community Relations.
